dr Tomasz Bojkowski
Legal Counsel / Of Counsel
Of counsel, he graduated the Poznań University of Economics and Business in 2002 (then known as the Poznań University of Economics) – major: finances and monetary policy. While defending his Master’s Thesis on tax accounting he decided to broaden his knowledge in the scope of taxes and tax law. From 2003 to 2008 he prepared a dissertation as part of his doctor studies on “Intellectual property taxation in Poland (defended in January 2008). Since 2008 he has been an employee of the Department of Public Finance at the Poznań University of Economics and Business.
His economic education acquisition was accompanied by legal studies at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań graduated in 2004. He prepared and defended his Master’s Thesis focused on constitutional aspects of taxes and tax law.
Under the resolution of the District Chamber of Legal Counsels in Poznań, he was registered as a legal counsel in 2009.
He specializes in handling tax disputes. Above all, he strives to skilfully present the view of the taxpayer, beneficiary or the head of a unit as well as to defend their interests, and this requires knowledge on the characteristics of the Client’s professional activity. He believes that knowledge on the law in force is not sufficient in a particular case because dispute handling is connected with challenges exceeding the boundaries of “statutory provisions”. It is a challenge to obtain knowledge on increasingly complex problems related to economy, society and finances that accompany the activity in question and to subsequently apply it in evidentiary proceedings.
He is interested in problems related to finances and financial law. He finds the problem regarding “the junction of” legal and economic studies to be important, especially finance studies.
